Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

You will be picked up from the airport and spend the night in a riad (townhouse) in the Medina of Marrakech. Individual evening activities.

Overnight: in Riad / Hotel

Day 2: Marrakech > Essaouira > Agadir (360 km)

Transfer to Essaouira on the Atlantic coast. In the afternoon you have time to walk through the old town with its straight streets and two gates, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can also take a leisurely stroll along the beach and have a coffee.

Then you continue along the Atlantic coast until you reach the vicinity of Agadir, where you will spend the night in a hotel.

Day 3: Agadir > Fam El Hsin (370 km)

Today we are heading south at full speed. On the way we stop for a walk in the Sous Massa National Park. There a river flows into the Atlantic and you can spot flamingos and many other bird species. In Tiznit you can tell from the climate and the colorful clothes of the women that you have arrived in the south. In the past, caravans from the Sahara arrived here. The city is still known for the trade in silver jewelry. Perhaps you will discover a beautiful piece at the market. We continue to the Fam El Hsin oasis.

Day 4: Fam El Hsin > Foum-Zguid > Chegaga

After breakfast, you will drive east through beautiful landscapes of stone deserts and volcanic mountains to Foum Zguid, the gateway to the Sahara. After lunch, you will drive by jeep through different types of desert, initially through stone deserts, then through the Iriki dry lake and small dunes to the camp between the dunes.

Day 5: Awinat Naji > Erg Smer

Today we hike the longest stage of our trek. After breakfast we walk for about 1.5 hours on the dunes, then we cross a very dry plain where you can really feel the desert: the bushes and small trees are completely dried out. At the end of the plain our cook is waiting for us with lunch. In the afternoon we hike along the riverbed of the Draas for about another 2 hours.

Day 6: Erg Smer > Erg Zher

Today is the last stage of our trekking tour in the desert. At the beginning we walk along the old fields and ruins of Smer. Finally we will cross the dry riverbed of the Draas. On the other side we will see the Zher dunes, our destination.

Day 7: Erg Zher > Erg Lawina

Another comfortable and beautiful stage through the Sahara. Today you will walk on the big dune and through the ruins of an old souk (market).

You will reach the camp around midday. In the afternoon you can enjoy the beauty of the sand dunes and their tranquility.

Day 8: Desert > Ouarzazat

The jeep drives us through the desert to M'Hamid, where we meet our minibus. We take a coffee break. The journey continues north to Ouarzazat, where we spend the night.

Day 9: Ouarzazat > Marrakech

The minibus takes us through the Ounila Valley via Telouet back to Marrakech.
